We are aware that you place your trust in us. We therefore see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. On this page we let you know what data we collect when you use our website, why we collect this data and how we use it to improve your user experience. This way you understand exactly how we work. Powerchainger is a controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that Powerchainger decides which personal data is processed, for what purpose and in what way.

This privacy policy applies to the services of Powerchainger. You should be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy policies of other websites and sources. Powerchainger respects the privacy of all users of its website and ensures that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially.

Personal data

When you sign up for one of our services, we ask you to provide personal data. This data is used to perform the service and is stored on a secured server. We ask for your e-mail address via the contact form on our website. We can also ask you for other basic personal data if you contact us by e-mail.

Purposes and retention periods

We use your personal data to be able to communicate with you, for example by sending a newsletter. We keep this data for as long as you are a relationship or if you indicate that you want to stay informed of developments within Powerchainger. We do not collect or use information for purposes other than those described in this privacy policy unless we have received your prior consent.

If the processing of your personal data takes place based on consent, so if you are not a customer or relation of ours, we will keep your data for as long as the consent is present. After withdrawing your consent, the data will be deleted immediately.

If we process the personal data because you are our customer or relation, we will keep your data for this period. As soon as you are no longer a customer or relation, we will delete your personal data immediately.

Basis for processing

If you are our customer or relation, the basis for the processing of your personal data is the necessity for the execution of an agreement. In  that case, the basis for the processing is the legitimate interest of Powerchainger for sending e-mails. If you are not a customer or relation, the basis for the processing of your personal data is consent.

Security of your personal data

All personal data is recorded digitally on secure servers of ourselves or of third parties with whom we have concluded a processing agreement. In addition, this information is stored encrypted.

Third parties

The information is not shared with third parties. In some cases, the information may be shared internally. Our employees are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.

Changes

Any adjustments and/or changes to our privacy policy may lead to changes in this privacy statement. It is therefore advisable to regularly consult this privacy statement.

Choices for personal data

We offer the possibility to view, change or delete all personal information. You can send a request for access, change or deletion of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to [email protected].

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport) and passport number black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks.

Of course, we are happy to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. If, nevertheless, you do not come to an agreement with us, we will point out the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Powerchainger works according to the provisions of Dutch law.
